Gram Gold
Gram gold is a 24-carat investment product manufactured in small weights, allowing investors to accumulate gold with a modest budget. It is typically offered in options such as 1, 2.5, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 grams; each product is sold in certified packaging stating its weight, purity and serial number.
Two purity standards are common in the market: 995 and 999.9 fineness. While 999.9 products are classified as "fine gold", 995 products contain 5 parts per thousand of alloy. The gram gold we offer is produced by refineries certified by Borsa İstanbul A.Ş. and the LBMA.
Gram Silver
Gram silver is an investment instrument produced at 999 fineness that enables portfolio diversification with a unit price far more accessible than gold. Alongside jewellery demand, industrial use in fields such as electronics, automotive and solar energy makes silver a metal worth following closely over the long term.
As with gram gold, certified packaging, a legible serial number and an invoice are decisive for the security of the investment in gram silver.
Minted Products (Sarrafiye)
Sarrafiye is the general name for traditional investment and ornamental gold coins minted at 22-carat (916.6 fineness) purity by the Mint of the Republic of Turkey. As well as being an indispensable gift for weddings, engagements and special occasions, they offer high liquidity because they can easily be converted into cash at jewellers, bullion dealers and banks.
Types of Minted Products and Approximate Weights
- Quarter gold coin — approximately 1.75 g
- Half gold coin — approximately 3.50 g
- Full gold coin — approximately 7.01 g
- Gremse (2.5 unit) — approximately 17.5 g
- Beşibiryerde (five-unit) — approximately 35 g
- Republic Ata Lira — 7.216 g (approximately 6.60 g fine gold)
Minted products are considered in two groups: "ziynet" (ornamental) and "ata" (meskuk). Ata coins stand out for investment purchases because their minting cost is lower relative to their weight, while ziynet coins, with their looped options, are preferred as gifts. Weights may vary slightly depending on the product group (old/new, ziynet/ata).
What to Consider for a Secure Purchase
- Verify that the product is mint-struck or produced by a certified refinery
- Make sure the packaging is unopened and the serial number is legible
- Check the weight and fineness (purity) values
- Always obtain an invoice for your purchase and sale transactions
- Work with institutions approved by the Ministry of Trade and registered with the relevant chambers
